Description

Fatigue, also known as weariness, tiredness, exhaustion, or lethargy, is generally defined as a feeling of lack of energy. Fatigue is not the same as drowsiness, but the desire to sleep may accompany fatigue. Apathy is a feeling of indifference that may accompany fatigue or exist independently.

Symptoms

  • Shortness of breath.
Home Remedies
  • Coffee: Caffeine is a known pick-me-up. Studies confirm that caffeine does perk up the brain and get those mental faculties humming.
  • Eggs: One of the most important ways you can battle fatigue is to eat a well balanced diet, and eggs are loaded with good things such as protein, iron, vitamin A, folic acid, riboflavin and panthothenic acid.
  • Fluids: Drink plenty of water juice, milk or other beverages to keep yourself hydrated. Dehydration can contribute to fatigue.
  • Skim milk: Mixing a little carbohydrates can keep you energized. Eating protein with your carbohydrates can block the sleepy feeling and leave you feeling energized.
Precautions
  • Manage your stress. Practice relaxation. Take time out for yourself.
  • Find a good time to exercise. Find a partner.
  • Check out your medications.
  • Eat a good breakfast (whole grain cereal, fruit, milk). Add more fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid too much caffeine habit.
  • Give up smoking.
  • Have sex with your spouse or partner.
  • Get enough sleep. Have a routine. Go to bed at the same time every night.
  • Avoid coffee, tea, or caffeinated drinks after 6 pm.
  • Drink no alcohol after dinner and decrease the total amount of alcohol (alcohol interferes with sleep patterns).
