of the thyroid gland at the back of the neck

| Root Causes |
Goitre disease
is caused commonly due to deficiency of iodine
in the diet. The thyroid gland makes use of
organic iodine in its secretion and a diet deficient
in organic iodine is a predisposing factor towards
the appearance of this disease, especially under
physical and emotional disturbances. Goitre
disease gradually affects those who habitually
live on denatured foods and nut those who eat
much of their food in a raw or uncooked state. |

| Home Remedies |
- Take iodine in its organic form. The foods
containing iodine like turnips, carrots, garlic,
pineapples, whole rice, tomatoes, watercress,
strawberries, guavas, lettuce, onions, oats,
citrus fruits, egg yolks, seafood’s, etc should
be taken in ample amounts.
- Watercress is effective in preventing and
treating Goitre. Apply a paste of watercress
over the problematic area.
- Take one teaspoon juice of the leaves of
swamp cabbage along with tea almonds 1-2 times
daily.
- Smear the leaves of dandelion (salad vegetable),
warm them a little and bandage over the swollen
area and keep for approximately 2 weeks.
- Ground the seeds of flex in water, heat
them a little and apply over the problematic
area. Then, bandage the leaves of flex over
the applied medication.
