Description:

Its fruits have laxative, thermogenic, anodyne, acrid, purgative, digestive, carminative, anthelmintic, aphrodisiac, diuretic, cardiotonic, febrifuge, astringent, antiseptic, stomachic, tonic and alterative properties. Due to its gentle non-habit-forming laxative action it helps in smooth evacuation without excessively irritating the colon. It is an effective purgative and helps in removing toxins and fats from the body, resulting in their reduced absorption. Useful in excessive vaginal discharges and painful menstruation. It is also useful as a blood purifier, in headaches, as a rejuvenator and beneficial for promoting healthy and lustrous skin. It is also good for hair. Also useful in spermatorrhoea.
