Shia Jeera have long been considered stimulant, cooling, digestive, anthelmintic, diuretic, analgesic, galactagogue, emmenagogue, antispasmodic, stomachic, astringent and carminative. The seeds have the properties to aid digestion. They are useful in chronic diarrhea and dyspepsia, for improving appetite and taste and are also useful in cold, counter heart irregularity caused by excess digestive wind, eases clamping period pain, phlegmatic cough and bronchitis.
